Madelynne was not cooperating with the dopler - she did not want us to hear her heartbeat today for very long at all. We tried for a good 7 minutes or so before the nurse said she sounded strong and since she was moving away from the dopler, she assumed she was doing great! What a little booger Madelynne was being. :)
When the doctor measured my stomach she was surprised by how large my uterus is...she states that on average you grow one inch per week of pregnancy. That should put me at 28 inches...yeah, no...of course I'm measuring 31 inches. So, what does this mean?! She thinks that our precious little Madelynne won't be so little...she's anticipating Madelynne to weigh a whopping 9+ pounds!!! WHAT?! How the heck am I supposed to push a 9 pound baby out?! She doesn't think that she'll be a little chunker though, she believes that Mady be long and skinny...let's hope she's like a torpedo and flies out! Haha!
So, that's the update...I'm gaining too much weight, my little girl is already showing us that she is uncooperative, and she's going to be HUGE!
Oh yeah, my glucose test came back and I passed! :) My blood looks good! Oh, and one last thing, my blood type is A-, so I had to get a shot today in my butt!
I love being pregnant!!!

Oh and I forgot to mention...she said not to buy any 0-3 month clothing, as she believes that Mady will be too long to fit in them!
Yeah for tall girls! So happy for you Tiffany!
Love ya!
P.S. That torpedo comment made me lol ;)
So glad you passed your glucose test b/c the 3 hour one is so not fun! I had to do it and I was totally fine, but it still was not fun!
9lbs?! I would say that is large but it seems like that's the "normal" size for a baby these days! Although I still don't think I would want to push out a 9lb watermelon--- ha ha ha
So glad she is doing well though and by the way since we all don't see you all the time you should post pics!!!
I'm not sure that you should be too surprised considering your gene pool is the only one in the family that grows tall people...compared to the rest of us, REALLY tall people. :)
Just fyi- I don't think doctors are really good at predicting how big babies will be.
My doc said Matthew would only be about 7 pounds at birth and in reality...if he was born on his due date- he would have been 9.5-10 pounds!
He was huge and yes, it sucks pushing out a big baby. Maybe Mady will be big- but maybe not, so don't worry too much about it yet. It just means she will be cuter. Chubby babies are WAY cuter!!!
and that is true about the 0-3 month clothes...they grow too fast to wear any of them!
I'm with Sarah. My doctor was trying to deliver me and said "I think he'll be about 7 pounds." Boy was he wrong...Evan was 8 lbs., 10oz. I didn't have to push him out however, they cut me open instead. :) Who knows though, she might be right...
As far as the weight thing goes, my doctor had that talk with me at the beginning of my pregnancy too. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You'll lost most of it within a week of giving birth and more will come off if you nurse.
Oh my wonderful little niece is already showing off her personality!!! I can't wait to see what she's like a little person!
Who knows how big she'll be but any way you flip that coin, she's going to be CUTE!!!!! Love you!
