Week 20: Cantaloupe

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!

This is a big week for the Ecklein family. We have our first ultrasound on Thursday, which will hopefully tell us whether or not we're having a boy or a girl. I'm super excited!

I woke up this morning to feel a small little flutter in my belly...I'm pretty sure it was movement of the baby. It's all becoming so real now.

We've been looking at cribs. As soon as we find out what we're having, we will start shopping!!!

yeah for baby movement! That is totally what you felt...little tiny feet and hands bouncing around in your uterus.

you better post right away on thursday!! inquiring minds want to know if our predictions were correct or not!

feeling the baby move is the best part of being pregnant! that's definitely what you felt! just wait until you have the ultra-sound and you see him/her moving so fast and all around and you don't feel it, it's funny!!

hopefully you'll find out on thursday!! so exciting :o)

As Sarah and Ashley mentioned, that's the baby all right! Although what better than what Ashley said, is when you see them hit you in the ultrasound and you DO feel it at the same time. So weird!

PLEASE post on Thursday!! Can't wait!
