16 Going on 17

Finishing up on Week 16:

Watch what you say...tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean the little one can now pick up your voice. Eyebrows, lashes and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming. And, if you're interested, an ultrasound might be able to determine gender.

On to Week 17:

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

I still haven't felt any movement. Maybe in the next few weeks I will start feeling the little thing.
I had an appointment on Monday and heard the heartbeat again. I have an ultrasound scheduled for November 12th...maybe we'll find out what we're having then.
Bought my first pair of maternity pants...I think I might wear them after the baby...they're SOOO comfortable! Haha!

Hope you are feeling better. Drink something sugary and then sit still for awhile...I bet you will feel that little bugger then!

Hope you are feeling better these days.

So...where are the belly shots?! If you're wearing maternity pants I bet you're starting to show!!!

Like Sarah said, eat sugary stuff and you just might feel something! It's pretty cool when you start feeling the baby!!

Belly shots will not arriving on this blog anytime soon. Haha! I refuse to let Chris take pictures of my belly.

I'm feeling a lot better!

I'll try the sugary stuff and let you know how it goes. :)

Thanks for the tips, Ladies!

PS: Sarah - update your blog!

First, I love the title of this post. I started singing the Sound of Music song.

Second, I am TOTALLY in favor of belly shots!!! Don't be a Debbie Downer! Take some pics of the baby bump! It's the one time in life where people think it's cute when others gain a few pounds.

Third, I can't wait to feel the little monkey moving around!!!!

Love you!

Ok, first of all, the baby is now an ONION yay!

As with others, I HIGHLY recommend doing belly shots. It's so fun looking back when your 40 weeks pregnant to when you thought you were huge. Also, we want to see your belly change since we don't get to see you everyday.

Don't worry if you haven't felt your little one move yet. I think I was close to 20 weeks till I could feel Evan. But like the girls said, sugary stuff will do the trick.. oj works well.

So, I've tried sugary stuff...no luck! This little person isn't wanting me to feel it yet.

keep trying! you will feel it soon and it will be sooooooo great!

feels like butterflies or little air bubbles at first. I first felt Matthew at a concert- maybe some loud music after dessert will do the trick!

also- i have two blogs so you have to be more specific...

and I did not take many belly pics either. at least take one right before you go into labor cause it will be funny to look back at how huge your stomach really was once you are done being prego
