Yes!
Went to my first doctor's appointment yesterday. I didn't get an ultrasound or anything, she just checked to make sure that I am in fact pregnant. She also checked to make sure I am in good health.
She thinks that I am around 8 weeks, by the size of my uterus. My calculations put me at 7 weeks.
She also thinks that we are having a girl. Oh man! I don't know that I'll ever be ready to have a girl!
I'm fighting morning sickness day and night. It totally sucks!
Chris is being great about the whole thing. He's super excited and is great at taking care of me.
My next appointment is set for Thursday, September 10th. I will hear the heart beat at that time.
We leave for Disneyland tomorrow...it should be a great trip...morning sickness + rides = fun.

Yay! Congratulations!! I'm glad you finally announced it officially on your blog too!!
I also think you're having a girl as well because you are sick all the time! Remember to ask your doctor for Zofran dissolve tablets!!
Also...I suggest not riding any rides at Disneyland! I know it's hard but you gotta take care of that little baby of yours :o)
Congrats, I'm so happy for you guys!
Yeah! Babies!
Ashley is right...lots of the rides say you can't ride of you are pregnant. So be careful. Maybe the Peter Pan ride??
Sorry you are sick. That is lame. The first of many lame things about being pregnant. (Yes, there are great parts too, but it's really hard so don't feel bad if you need to complain a little)
Here are some good things about girls: WAY easier to find clothes, everything is cuter, you can buy headbands and bows, you will get to have the prom pictures at your house because the boys always go to the girls house, girls learn things faster cause we are awesome and smarter...
hope that helps! (for the record, I do love boys too, just trying to point out the positive)
I was just checking to see if you posted about the appointment and how it went...so glad you did.
What makes your doctor think it's a girl?! I'm going to say boy since everyone that I know that's pregnant is having boys. Well, except Jenni Thye. But like I said, everyone else is a boy.
As Sarah said, make sure you check the rides. If anything you can just sit on the side and eat ice cream, churros, and chocolate covered frozen bananas all day!
What's you estimated due date?
EDD is April 1st...Chris is super excited about this, as he would LOVE to have a "Fool".
I spoke with the doctor yesterday about the rides and she said I'm good as long as the ride doesn't specify that pregnant women can't ride it. We'll see, with me being sick 90% of the day, I might hang out in line and wait with Gianna (3 yr old neice) while her parents and Chris ride.
The doctor didn't give me a reason as to why she thinks it's a girl. She just "has a feeling". We'll have to wait and see if she's right.
